Percy Ellis Sutton SEEK Program
The Percy Ellis Sutton Search for Education, Elevation, and Knowledge (SEEK) Program is here to make sure you get the support and guidance you need to start and complete your bachelor’s degree.
Support You’ll Receive
From your first day on campus to your graduation march, counselors and advisers will keep you on track with special academic training, financial aid, and individualized guidance. SEEK will ensure you even build a terrific résumé through internships and career counseling. As a member of the SEEK Program, you receive:
- An assigned SEEK counselor
- Exclusive access to the SEEK Learning and Study Center (computer lab, etc.)
- Additional financial supports (extended financial aid, educational stipends, etc.)
- Access to a network of Brooklyn College resources with priority access
Expectations
As a member of the SEEK Program, you will work with a team of staff who will assist you in navigating your college career. This partnership will consist of shared responsibilities that will require you to play an active role. To accomplish this, you will be required to:
- Attend all class meetings for each course you take
- Meet monthly with your assigned SEEK counselor, and attend weekly tutorial sessions with SEEK academic staff
- Write/develop your college goals for each semester
- Attend monthly seminars
By joining the SEEK Program you are agreeing to actively engage in each of these activities. Members who fulfill their end of the bargain are more likely to graduate in four years with a strong grade point average and less stress.
